Day 2 of practice is over. The fish are moving onto the beds and it is going to be another grinder. I will keep you all updated on my progress.
Well, I made it to day 3 on Clear Lake. All I can say is thank you god, without him nothing is possible. It was a tough day, but I managed to bag 18lbs. Looking forward to yanking on some today without the pressure of making a check. I would love to make the 12 cut tomorrow, but I am happy to get a check too. I wanted to give a shout out to Thomas and Lyle Hahn. They drove down from Davis today to watch the weigh in. This was Lyle’s first Bass tournament weigh in to watch. He is 7 and loves to fish. I hope you enjoyed yourself today Lyle and you keep fishing. When you come to see your Uncle Herb in Arkansas, I hope we get a chance to go fishing. Also, a big thank you to the few sponsors I have. Powell Rods, Redneck Remedy, Future Fuels,Talon Custom Lures, BassCat, Mercury, Costa, Pro Batteries, and H2OSportz. And lastly to all my fishing with the fans contributers, thanks for the support too. Thank you all for believing in me.
After a disappointing 64th finish at the Delta, I am at Clear Lake now. The fishing conditions have been tough to say the least. I know that big fish live here and I am determined to catch them. Today is the first day of the Clear Lake tournament and I hope to weigh in a nice bag of fish, the weather is warming up, which should make the fish bite. I will keep you all posted. Keep me in your prayers, not only for a good tournament but also for safety. For those that don’t know one of the Elite guys and also a Powell rod guy, Jared Lintner was in a bad wreck on Saturday coming out to Clear Lake. He and his son are fine, but his boat and truck were both totaled. A guy texting and driving hit him and was un-insured. We put a lot of miles in during the fishing season and this is the 1st accident in awhile. So that is why I ask for prayers not only for Norma and myself, but also for the other guys traveling the circuit. And please remember don’t text and drive. For now I am gone to fish.
